What's your business and who are your customers?
True vintage clothing from the bizarre to the beautiful. Hand selected pieces from the 1930s to the 1970s. Our customers range from collectors & vintage aficionados around the world, to San Diego regulars and tourists who appreciate the unique choices of clothing and accessories.
We feature one of a kind unique pieces of vintage fashion with an emphasis on Hollywood glamour for men and women. All pieces are chosen for their rarity, condition and sizes.
Tell us about yourself
Myself and my partner, Jasja Boelhouwer have always worn vintage clothing and collected interesting pieces of past eras. After first selling personal pieces you realize you can make a profit doing something you love, and the business grew from there. Myself having a passion for fashion, and Jasja having a passion for history is what makes it work. And that passion is the motivation as there’s always something to learn.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being prepared to work many more hours then a regular job. And dealing with the ups and downs that come with being your own boss, many that you have no control over.
What are the top 3 tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
